Managed to walk to car find straight afterwards, felt a little thick and heavy. But I had expected it. In the drive home I could tell the local anaesthetic was wearing off, so I was prepared and took 1 tramadol and 2 paracetamol while in the car.

Felt tired but honestly its our first truly warm day, so it easily could be due to that. Made tea and a coffee and all important hot water bottle for my back pain. Soon got into pjs after eating, and I settled down. Hoping it stays as pain free as it is at the moment (thanks to tramadol and resting)

In the night I could feel a pulling in the groin, not surprising as that is exactly where the injection was, and even having the ultrasound probe rolling over the area was painful. So I took 2 paracetamol and made a hot water bottle for bed.

Day One Woke up feeling not bad, which shocked me. I can feel a dull ache around the hip, but it’s low rumbling and I think I’ll try paracetamol to control it for now. It’s a little sharp in the groin area when I move certain ways, so trying to avoid them.

I managed to forage some dandelion heads in the day, and I got some light goods from home bargains walking with a crutch for security. But come the late afternoon I knew it was aching a bit too much for paracetamol alone, so I had 1 tramadol and 2 paracetamol. And the usual hot water bottle too.

I make dandelion honey and balm for the winter

In the evening, so it’s been 27 hours since the injection my face started to get facial flushing which I kinda expected. And the dull low rumbling pain got a little louder, so for bedtime I’m having 1 tramadol and 2 paracetamol again. So over the day I’ve had 2 tramadol and 4 paracetamol. Not too bad I don’t think. Though I did feel sick towards bedtime, not quite sure why.

Day Two I slept better than I thought I would, but it was a late night or 2am when I went to sleep. Facial flushing has settled down for now, and thankful the nausea has gone too. Not planning on doing anything today other than the dentist appointment, Reading over the last time I had an injection in the hip here shows you how different each experience has been. I think the resting will be the hardest thing, as my mind already wants to do physio, but it says not too for at least 10days.

I decided to hedge my bets that today would be similar to yesterday and get achy around 3pm, so I didn’t take a morning set of pain relief, instead I took 1 tramadol and 2 paracetamol at 2.30pm. Feels ok overall, and only aches doing steps which I figured it would. Hoping that does go at some point, which would then at least point us to this is the problem area. Least with resting I can watch Obi Kenobi and Ms Marvel with zero guilt.
