I have felt so siezed up, stiff and inflexible it’s laughable that I have ehlers danlos syndrome. As all the literature ever says is how flexible you are, and how fluid your joints are. But they don’t say once joints become bone on bone, they become stiff, swollen and so so painful.

Even the most basic of stretches and holds are feeling difficult, usually I feel like this in winter, as the atmosphere is damp and cold. But it’s July, I should be feeling looser and have warmer joints.
So if you were me, would you rest and heat the area? I already have daily anti inflammatory tablets. Or would you try and do some yoga style stretches and breathe into them? Or even a combination of the two options?
We have so much to pack for next Wednesday, as we go camping for a week (thank goodness we bought high camp beds, as otherwise I really think I wouldn’t be able to go!)
I decided to do a bit of both, so some small movements, and then heat. You could choose ice I’m sure but I prefer heat for myself.

Hopefully that will help me over the weekend and get things moving a bit freer again. No idea what caused the back to flare up like this.
