First appointment after the Psoas steroid injection, I still have some difficulty in lifting the leg up with the knee bent. And it’s still swelling up at the top of the thigh. It’s been 4 weeks now, so surely any change would of occurred by now.

It is stopping us from setting off for camping early as this appointment needs doing first. But I am keen to ask opinions and get some advice.
I tried a meet up yesterday with a friend, met up for coffee and a sandwich, barely walked really. But I was worn out and sore, I’m disappointed I don’t feel like I’m improving at all.
In true traditional before holiday night, I did not sleep until 3.50am and I had to get up at 6am, I can already feel this is going to be a long painful day, and to top it all off, I’ve come on my period again, second time in 2 weeks, perimenopause is kicking my ass!!
Saw a new Physiotherapist, but one I’ve had before over the years, which helped as then I didn’t need to re go over my entire medical history with them. In fact she’s one of the seniors that confirmed I had a leg length issue. We tested the strength in Hip Bridges, I can do them ok, but not single leg ones. So the aim is to raise 1 heel to make it harder. We tested the strength in clams and that was fine. So strength is not an issue, it’s pain and swelling.
Hips aren’t dropping when I walk, so no Trendelenburg gait or hip drops when doing Hip Flexion. But one stretch really hurt and felt weak, and that was the simple Quad Stretch with a chair.

Made plans to incorporate this into my routine, along with just one Heel raised Hip Bridges and stick with Clams.

See them again end of August, hopefully I will have seen McBryde by then too, and podiatry.
