I started last week 28th July as it was a New Moon so what could be a better time to commit to movement and mindfulness. Joining in with my witchcraft friends off tiktok, we are doing 30days of yoga with Adriene the Revolution one, found on YouTube.

Now as a double hippie, and an ehlers danlos sufferer I do have to adapt all stretches to my own personal abilities. The joy of yoga is just being present and never pushing things too far, just breathe and feel comfortable in what you are doing.
I’ve been setting my alarm in the morning and I’ve got a routine of coffee and hot water bottle first, and then I do my routine. It’s before anyone else is up, and it’s just a quiet time, so I’m not distracted.

It’s definitely been a challenge to keep going, especially when I’ve had such bad period pains and sickness. So I’m proud I didn’t give up. I’m now 51 Weeks post op, and while not perfect it’s amazing how far I’ve come. It’s crazy to think I’ve been doing physio for so long and not felt any benefit or felt any progress, and here I am only 1 week after starting this, and I have seen and felt an improvement in stretches, especially Cat/Cow as my wrists really struggled at first, and in Hip Flexor stretch too. I’m a long long away from looking like Adriene doing Yoga, but for me I’m seeing an improvement. I love the time of just being present and mindful.
