Straight off the back of Podiatry, the following day I had a physiotherapy appointment. So I’ve put in the 1.5cm insoles in, to start my practicing of wearing them. But I’m bringing along the 2.5cm insoles to show them to the physiotherapist. First real walk in the 1.5cm ones and they feel weird. The physiotherapist thinks they should help, but to gently break them in, by wearing for an hour, then 2, then 3 and so on.

Had to demonstrate how much better the hip flexion has got, but it tires quickly. First rep is good, by the third it’s sore and I lose good form. But last month I couldn’t even do 1 good rep.

Next up we tested the Heel elevated glute bridges, again last month I couldn’t do any well without the hip dipping, now I was doing 10 pretty good. I’m 10 weeks post psoas steroid injection now and it’s come a long way from how bad I was before the injection.

These are quite aggressive exercises to do, so I was given a more passive one to do while watching TV, just to build up some strength.

We discussed that the Psoas steroid injection had obviously helped massively and I may need more, perhaps another 2 to 3 overall, while using that times in-between to really work on the weakness, so eventually the psoas is held better and no longer in a position to constantly rub and irritate. Felt pretty worn out once I had finished this session, and once home it was hot water bottle and rest.
