Hipster

This week I’m attempting to wear heels, first proper time in years, definitely before hip replacements in Jan 2019. Not a huge heel, but one that would be enough to make me feel feminine and ‘normal’ though I still keep the walking stick for support, stability. Turned out a massive mistake!! Fell over, hurt my thigh being on heels so never again. Gonna have to get used to flat shoes ALL the time.

It was for a graduation of Mini Moon my youngest child, so it was worth wearing as we would be in Chester Cathedral and I needed to look smart and formal. I even wore a dress!! Not my usual attire of walking gear or yoga gear.

It was horrendous weather sadly, dark and grey too. Chester is cobblestone so it was slippy and I ended up fighting my walking stick. I did have a fall, which hurt a lot. But we had a good day regardless, but I won’t be moving much for a few days, while I wait for thigh to go down.

We stayed there for the evening and following day, nursing my sore back and thigh. Hot water bottles needed and pain meds. Not what I planned at all 😢
