I’ve had a week of new exercises and I am tired, sore, swollen but determined. The more time I have to think about things, the more I want to try and go down the physio route, at least for the next year or two. As this way as nothing to lose really.
While I had a week of doing the exercises, I did also have the weekend off, and it was needed. Since the temp has dropped I’ve really felt sluggish, slow, tired (extreme tiredness ) and increased pain levels. While I understand the implant itself can’t be affected by the cold, your muscles, etc that surround it can be affected. And though I expect it each year, it stills somehow takes me by surprise!?

Have I felt any difference in the exercises yet? Erm no, it’s too early to tell and I don’t want to hyperfixate on it, as it would give me anxiety, and stress. I still find them super hard to do, they wear me out and it swells the hip up. But I’m committed to doing them.

When I kneel on the yoga mat I can still see a huge difference in length and size. These photos I hope can help document my progress, and also serve a purpose of showing to the leg deformity team and of course physiotherapist.

Sometimes I add this exercise in, instead of the Prone lying Leg Raise, and do it on all fours instead, just for variety.

To help with back ache I try to warm up the spine with cat cows first. They feature a lot in my yoga too.
