Tried some straight leg raises today and it’s a big fat NOPE that leg barely moves up, and the pain is pretty intense!! It honestly doesn’t feel any better from physio and yoga, which is frustrating. More resting, ibuprofen gel and hot water bottles 😭😭😭😭

However side leg raises are getting much better and I can do them on the Bosu Ball too, to engage the core too.

Walking into the hospital on the 1st February, I noticed my leg looked Bowed!! Never noticed before, I was just thinking my hips were getting level. But is it achieving this by bowing my leg? To make it the equal length? Definitely things I need to discuss with new surgeon on the 10th February.

Going to need to list everything in preparation to seeing him, and ask his advice. This hip is like a goddamn nightmare, adding more and more issues to me.

To keep core and wrist and chest strength, I’ve added these, as the unstable Body Ball help you engage the tummy and wrists to do some half press ups.

This is the leg raise I attempted and it was doing and going nowhere at all

I liked the unstable nature of it, and one leg the right has no problems, it’s purely the newest hip replacement leg (left) and the same old area of swelling, increased sharp pain whenever I lift the leg.
