Last week we were camping and walking, and this hand (fusion) one is magic. Except a flat hand to push myself up on things, I’m doing everything as normal. I would say I just need to build strength in the pinch grip. So with that in mind, my daughter has some hand physio equipment, so we met up and did a book swap, and she’s lent me her equipment to help with strength.

Hand Grip Ball.

Hand balls, these help strengthen hand and finger flexibility. 3 colours show the different levels of strength resistance. Yellow 10kg/22lb Red 20kg/44lb Blue 40kg/88lb squeeze the ball with it in the palm of the hand, or squeeze between thumb and fingers 10 reps

Finger Strength Resistance Bands.

Finger Strength Resistance Bands, once again graded in difficulty using colours. Green 3kg/6.6lb Blue 4kg/8.8lb Orange 5kg/11lb place fingers into loops and expand fingers outwards. 10 reps

Nice to have some targeted exercises, not just for the post operative hand, but also excellent to help keep and maintain muscle strength in the right hand that needs surgery.
