Hipster

While out walking I’ve noticed my Outer hip pain on the 4.5yr old hip, I find myself landing heavy on that side, so it takes more weight when I get tired. I lose walking form and I tend to have Trendelenburg gait and it bears the brunt of that new burden. It worries me, and I need to see my consultant in Nov about it.

I’m hoping it’s from the weakness in the psoas that is making me lean this way. So I have work to do to strengthen it up. I hope to get some hydro dates asap as it’s easier to work harder in water than on land.

I’ve also twinged by lower back (Sunday 10th Sept) from bending, my own fault as I didn’t think about correct form. I didn’t bend at the knees (this is actually harder as barely any strength) compared to the usual ease to bend at waist and touch the floor with ease. Curse of ehlers danlos syndrome, just because you have that range doesn’t mean you should use it. So this has hindered (who has time for this!) my yoga, physio routine while I’ve had to nurse it back. As when it goes even walking, sitting, lying down hurts and feels like a dead leg sensation.

Getting myself ready for dental surgery (today as this goes up) on 15th Sept, so I’m gearing myself up for that, no doubt I won’t be able to do much yoga or physio as I’m having roots extracted. I hope these knock backs don’t hinder progress too much. I’ve batch cooked some soft foods at least, for while I recover. Got a couple of books to read too. So plenty to occupy the mind, just not body for a while.
