Finally heard from Cannock physio, it’s apparently an urgent matter and needs to be started now before my Psoas Injection, but earliest they can do is 4th December, that’s a consultation with them, then hopefully Hydro will start.

But…. I’m hoping my right hand will have surgery around this time, and it would be in a cast!! So that won’t work. But as it stands, I have no official date for hand surgery. So best plow on ahead trying to sort out this hip. Besides if hydro is this delayed, perhaps surgery will be too.

As I’ve had Dental surgery and no strenuous exercise is advised, and also leaning forward makes the blood pound in the mouth, so that’s been yoga and most physio off the table. So instead I’ve been doing more upright static movements.

Standing hip flexor stretch, lean into the forward leg, let straight leg stretch out behind. 30 second hold X 5 reps
Or if more comfortable do it on a chair while sitting. 30 second hold X 5 reps
Quad stretch, I use chairs or crutch for stability. 30 second hold X 5 reps
Stretch the outer thigh, IT band 30 second hold X 5 reps
Mountain pose and chin to sky, hands in the back to extend the back stretch. 30 second hold X 5 reps
Inner thigh stretch in side lunge. 30 second hold X 5 reps
Glute squeezes, these can be done while making a coffee, or cooking tea. 5 second hold X 10 reps
