We are back from the most epic trip away, and while there we did as much as my body would or could do. However it did come with a lot of grit, bloody-mindedness, and knowing it’s easy to rest once home and this is a holiday we’ve waited for.
I conquered a demon by revisiting Tintagel Beach, last time I went here, I cracked my left hip and that speeds me into my Hip Replacement in 2021. But I cracked the hip in 2020, and it was pure agony since. So conquering this, helped put some fear and demons to bed. However the psoas is making this same leg feel like I’m lifting lead. It’s bruised from all the micro tears of the blood vessels as it’s just so damaged from a DVT in 2011. So it’s not all sunshine and rainbows, but an improvement on the last time. Celebrate the small wins.

After Cornwall we headed to Glastonbury and I took a fall, landed on my own walking stick 🤦🏻♀️ so I’ve added even more bruises.

Has any of you experienced micro tears and bruises solely from walking? Should compression stocking return I wonder? I’ve been mostly resting since home do that’s a plus, though feeling stiffer than ever. Could be due to over moving last week, or the cold weather that’s hit the UK now (went from 21 degrees to 10!!)
Once our adventures are over as we are away again this weekend, I’d like to get back into my daily yoga routine as that does help keep other pains in check, while I await the steroid for the psoas.
