Hipster

Hippie girl, going through recovery, and life. Follow my journey of Spiritual growth and health.

It’s April and while I can’t do most things, I can at least  watch TV and enjoy movies. So we’ve been watching a few new ones.

Baghead

A young woman inherits a run-down pub and discovers a dark secret within its basement – Baghead – a shape-shifting creature that will let you speak to lost loved ones, but not without consequence.

Creepy film unique plot, thoroughly enjoyed it, if the weather is too awful, curl up in the evening with a good ole scare (but not too scary)

Lisa Frankenstein

A coming of RAGE love story about a teenager and her crush, who happens to be a corpse. After a set of horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a journey to find love, happiness – and a few missing body parts.

It felt like a real 80s film, I loved the campiness and humour. Totally daft, just the ticket to cheer me up.

Dune Part Two

Paul Atreides unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.

Honestly I’ve watched part one and now two, I feel it’s long drawn out and not a patch on the original. Arty absolutely, well acted too. But very slow and boring in places.

Imaginary

When Jessica moves back into her childhood home with her family, her youngest stepdaughter, Alice, finds a stuffed bear named Chauncey. As Alice’s behavior becomes more and more concerning, Jessica intervenes only to realize that Chauncey is much more than the stuffed toy bear she believed him to be.

Super creepy, why do I do this to myself??   Toys that move and children in horrors are always the worst for me. Enjoyable but definitely creepy.
