Omg what a week it’s been, as it was the Summer solstice, we were off camping and visiting the Tor in Glastonbury.
This meant a decision needed to be made about which walking stick to use. Head says behave and use it in the left hand, but this causes a lot of hip and lower back issues. Or brace and risk the right hand, and walk better. But technically it’s 2 weeks earlier than they wanted me to do it. Which would you choose?

The first day we had chance to stroll about slow and on paths to test the Right hand out, and because it was on the right side for the hip, I actually lean on it less heavy. So Right hand won.

The thumb is still a lot bigger than the left, and flexing the tip is the hardest, my O looks weird. But the reach to the pinky is far better. And wrist flexion is a lot better too.

Now I’m using the correct hand for my waking stick, I’m feeling more ‘normal’ and like myself. Pretty impressed it’s only really took 13 weeks considering how bad it was after surgery. Absolutely thrilled.
