Friday 12th July kicks off 3 days of the Arts and Crafts Fuse Festival in Lichfield. It’s free to attend and has Dance, activities, live music, food and drink. Wonderful family day out, or tap into the DJ sets on the Saturday evening.
We’ve gone the last two years, so it feels like a right of passage now to go. Sure hoping the weather is kind to use. Though last year we had thunder and lightning and blew the generator!!

We had terrible weather so opted to go Saturday, mainly for our friend DJing, but hoping to catch a few others as well.
Arriving at 5pm Saturday we get stuck into #TillyKingston TILLY’S hard edged, punk-rock, & metal fused pop will connect with anyone whose ever felt like a misfit. Born in the Midlands, U.K. we had some covers sang from Alanis Morrisette, and Paramore but we were treated to Tilly’s own songs too, which I loved. Here’s some of my phones videos, not the best quality sadly Video one Video two Video three Video four.

Next up was a Ska band #TheSocialIgnition , and though not my cup of tea usually. They were high energy and got some many people moving. The Social Ignition is a ska-fusion band with a melting pot of musical influences, from folk to funk, jazz, hip-hop, rock and punk and E.D.M but always with a main focus on reggae and ska. I needed to eat after this, and wander around the site, as we arrived so late we jumped straight into Tilly’s set. I was on a burger hunt.

That burger was amazing! This farm never fails to give good food out.
Wandering around we noticed it’s not as busy as previous years, but weather definitely plays into that, it’s too wet to sit around outside.

Sitting at the back waiting for our friend to play, we catch #Headshrinkers Unflinching poetry set atop confrontational searing lead guitar riffs, thunderous, driving bass-lines and pummelling drums is the unmistakable sound of Headshrinkers. No videos sadly as I was shattered, and needed to sit down.
Ending the last 90mins of the night with #DjThumpa Video one Video two Video three had a blast, much needed chair afterwards and rest. But it was good to hear some amazing music, live bands and support the local festival.
