After a stressful journey we arrived to pure beauty and opulence (for us) at the waterside lodge, my evening plans went out the window as we were exhausted from the travel,  preferring to call it for an early night, and start fresh tomorrow.

The Lodge is so incredible it’s hard to tear ourselves away, as the lake has so many herons, egrets and cormorants to watch, flying, fishing and landing.

But we came for the coast, so we must drag ourselves away for some dramatic rugged coastline. First up is Tintagel and Barra Nose (daft name)

What a wonderful first proper day in Cornwall. We wrapped up the night, playing our casefile murder mystery game off tiktok. We have to find the killer using the evidence supplied.

Wednesday started off so rainy, we actually opted to stay in all day, rest up and stay dry and warm. Enjoyed watching the rain  and herons.

Once the rain stopped we headed out to visit Boscastle, a favourite place of ours. Still damp bit looking lovely. Shame all the shops had shut and museum too.

Ending our evening with Stage 2 of the murder mystery. Been bliss being able to cook at lodge and be in pjs nice and early. Thursday is a big walk day so saving that for the next post.
