Ever felt like you are banging your head against a brick wall?? That’s how I’ve been feeling since this hip was replaced, all these weeks ago, well years now.

I finally have a Micats appointment and it’s not actually for the hips this time, but more for the spine, lower back, which is in pain from the hips though.

Really hoping they can help me, as its a constant ground down feeling with each step. And while I still do walking,it takes a lot of enjoyment out of each event, as the pain increases and slowly takes over my mind.

Been given such a thorough check up, and planned action for now is to strengthen back and core with hip bridges, use a red band for side leg raises on the right leg, but green one on left (as they have different strengths) then red band quad exercises on a chair. All to be done 3 times a week, and having ample rest days.
Other conservative measures could be insoles again, or especially made shoes. But first we are trying physio targeted for the weakness and build them up over 6 to 12 months.
