While I’m noting it’s 181 weeks since my latest hip replacement, it’s actually 319 weeks (6years) since the hip I’m having issues with lately.
Today it’s been Hospital day to check my mishap in December (suspected partial dislocation) hasn’t done any damage, and what i can do to prevent it happening again.

Thankfully I’m back to physio, and it has improved massively. Pain is more manageable as well. But will it happen more often now? Is it soft tissue damage only? So many questions to ask.

Called through fast and straight into xray before I see the Surgeon/Consultant. Heels apart toes together, I’m in and out of xray so fast, as i wear nothing with metal in them, so no need to undress and redress. Makes it so speedy.
Hip feeling super tender but that could be swelling from restarting physio up again.

Back through to waiting after xray, and why didn’t I take a fresh photo? I forgot. I was so focused on getting my questions out. And good news the implant is well, shouldn’t do it again if I avoid deep hip flexion. Asked about the exercises and he said that they are great exercises to do. Shouldn’t be more susceptible to doing it again. I think I’m meant to feel reassured but I’m not sure i am. I think its because it’s still so painful. But realistically what can he do? When implant is fine.
So that’s that for 2yrs unless I have more problems. So back to physio and giving it all I’ve got.
