Hipster

Hippie girl, going through recovery, and life. Follow my journey of Spiritual growth and health.

I had another Micats appointment this week, and though I’ve been feeling under the weather. My physio has improved and I’m ready for the new stage in building up.

We are now going from 3 sets of 10 with the Green Resistance Band, to phasing in the Blue Band. Starting with 2 Sets of Green and 1 Set of Blue to start with.

Sticking with the Usual Hip Bridges, Single Leg Hip Bridges, Quad Isolation and Side Leg Raises. So that’s 10reps x 3 for each exercise, except Single leg hip bridges they are 5 Reps X 1. All these are done every other day to give the body time to rest and recover.

Also I’ve been given unweighted Romanian Deadlifts. Never before have I done it so correctly it’s pulled at the butt cheeks. So it will be nice to see and feel progress on this. Starting at 3 reps X 1 every other day.

I have to make sure I squeeze in my core,  and gluten, so it activates my legs and not stress out my back. Slow and steady. I’ve tried it twice so far, first time was Tuesday at micats with a kettlebell, and it pulled the hamstrings which ached but nicely in a way. Tried again on Thursday but with no weights at all, However on Friday my back was SO stiff, like I was a wooden plank. So Friday was a full rest day. Maybe I didn’t ensure the posture correctly enough? Or is this normal when starting a new exercise? Glad I’m only doing 3 reps every other day.

All these are done with both blue and green bands. Just slowly phasing in the blue so it’s not a massive shock to the joints. Especially as this week I’ve caught a bug and I’m feeling weaker than normal.
