Nearly time to see my surgeon again to catch up with how it’s been healing. And overall it’s been amazing.
It’s just the ongoing health niggles that have overshadowed this entire recovery.

I can touch my little finger fine, but the flexing is awful, almost as if it’s never been released which is hugely disappointing.

I can nearly reach the bottom of the little finger, if the top joint flexed like it should, it would easily reach. But I’m pain free overall. Just aches when I over use it.

This is the most the DIP joint will flex, it feels hard, strained and sore when I try.
I count my blessings its been an easy recovery and that I’m back to doing all the things I like to do, liek jewellery and crafting as well as using my walking stick too.
While I’m loving not having the metal poking out, I do still regret it as the new health issues started a few days after I had it done. Conflicted as regret gets us nowhere. So scrap that, I’m thankful for the metal removal.
