Hipster

Hippie girl, going through recovery, and life. Follow my journey of Spiritual growth and health.

Last 2 weeks I’ve not managed any spine gym at home, instead I’ve been walking, and house hunting. See posts prior Here and Here on our walks, these have crippled me for days and days afterwards, once recovered, I’ve repeated walking and needed a week resting again to recover.

Sounds like madness, however it’s done wonders for the insoles I’ve been wearing, they now feel normal to wear, and my feet and knees don’t hurt as much as they did at the start, so its not all wasted time.

This is what happens after a walk, the legs swell, usually unevenly and they are heavy, painful and tender, sometimes ungodly cold too. I think I have lipedema perhaps? A nurse and GP both agreed this week,  so I need to keep moving even more!

With a line drawn under the knees, you can see how misaligned I am too.

So back to doing some gentle hip and spine exercises, this week as I’ve done so much lately, so going to be a gentle return.

Arm Rotations both hands hold straight out and twist 15 reps x 2 Green Resistance band
Crocodile stretch 15 second hold roughly x 5 reps x 2
5kg Dumbell walk on side only (great for strengthening the one side.)  Walk for 60 seconds, then rest 30 seconds, then swap sides and walk 60 seconds
Straight legged raise 15 reps x 2
Jefferson curl 15 reps x 2 with Dumbells 5kg

I added these as they seem a good idea to help stretch, drain and ease the inflammation too.
