The hunt continues, and it feels demoralising and frustrating, all to find a suitable home that will accept us.

The system is crazy now, you even have to do an application just to view a property. Competition is so fierce that out of 60 maybe 10 succeed to actually view it. Then if all 10 apply to rent, obviously only 1 can win.

And of course even when you do get to view some, they can be horrific, with splat stains on the outer bricks, dirty nappies slung in places, mould not even cleaned up let alone painted over.

As we speak we have put in an application for a bungalow, its quite small so will require a lot of downsizing, and skipping some older furniture. But it’s light and airy and modern unlike most bungalows.  So now the wait starts, will we be successful finally?
