Well this is different, usually we are in Whitby at this point, for Whitby Goth Weekend. But with this injury, I cant walk those cobble streets or steps.

So this year we are celebrating Samhain at home, while I’m recovering.

Samhain is a good time to do Ancestor renovation, prepare yourself for the coming dark half of the year. Strengthen protection for yourself and the home, and give honour to those who have crossed over.

“Ancestral renovation” in witchcraft is a practice of working with one’s ancestors to heal old wounds, gain wisdom, and honor their lineage through magic. This involves creating a sacred space, often with an ancestor altar, to communicate with and honor both blood and “collective” ancestors, such as past witches or inspirational figures. Activities can include making offerings, researching family history, and engaging in magical practices to heal past traumas and strengthen the present bloodline.

And of course watching some Halloween themed movies such as Hocus Pocus 1 and 2, hubie Halloween as well as some scary films too.
