Sometimes when I’m feeling low and like I’m going backwards I like to re-read over my first hip replacement to compare how I am and how I was then, sometimes it works to lift the spirits, as we have a tendency to look over passed events with rose coloured glasses.
You can too Here and as I read over it, I remembered I had horrendous End of Stem pain, so although I’m having niggles and aches with this new hip, that pain eventually went in the right hip. And this pain feel in the left is nothing compared to that pain I had. So I think I’m doing well considering.
Helps to look over my old posts for exercise ideas, and refresh movements to improve my gait, and strength and overall stamina.

To add some gentle stretches, to help stretch and keep muscles supple. Not all exercises are about reps and dynamic movement, some are about breathing and holding the position.

Most stretches I have to adapt to suit my body and my abilities, as most exercises are demonstrated by someone without health issues and that’s not helpful to be honest! So don’t worry if you can’t be exactly like the pictures, you do it to your ability.

And don’t forget Rest days between exercise days, as they need a chance to repair. Now the weather is getting brighter and warmer, take to the outside and do some stretches listening to bird song, and trees swaying, it’s a fabulous mood lifter.
