#ADGIFTED all thoughts and opinions are my own, I deliberately choose authors and genres I enjoy, as life to short for rubbish books.

Stewart Giles is a firm favourite, so as soon as I saw this one available, I jumped at the chance to read it.

THE BLUESMAN (Detective Jason Smith book 19)
From bestselling author: Stewart Giles comes another brilliant addition to the Detective Jason Smith series
The Bluesman (Detective Jason Smith #19) by Stewart Giles
Smith isn’t In a good place.
He’s still in shock after the worst case of his career. He has problems on the home front, and he’s just been told to take some time off.
Things couldn’t get much worse.
They’re about to get much, much worse.
Smith gets a phone call. When a stranger asks for his help, he doesn’t know what to do. An old friend has gone missing and the parting words of the woman on the phone chill Smith to the bone.
He’s sold his soul to The Bluesman.
Smith has some time off. But as he digs deeper into this mystery Bluesman he starts to wonder about everything else in his life.
The Bluesman is not what he seems, and he’s going to change Smith’s life forever.
What readers are saying about The Bluesman:
I loved this, my favourite Smith book to date. An epic masterpiece, reminiscent of a modern day Faust, quite extraordinary and remarkable as it features iconic legends. Its double trouble right from the outset. A brilliant concept, masterfully done. – Carol
THE BLUESMAN strikes terror in the hearts of men and me. It seems to just a puzzling mystery….but not for long. Unconscionable acts, spell-binding, harrowing conundrum, and hair-raising suspense will keep you riveted and on the edge of your seat until the surprising finish you’ll never see coming. – Lena
A very suspenseful pageturner as I expect from this series. The adrenaline starts pumping from the first page and continues to the absolutely shocking ending. 5 star read perfect for anyone who loves crime fiction. – Reading Addict

Stewart Giles – Author Bio
After reading English at 3 Universities and graduating from none of them, I set off travelling around the world with my wife, Ann, finally settling in South Africa, where we still live.
In 2014 Ann dropped a rather large speaker on my head and I came up with the idea for a detective series. DS Jason Smith was born. Smith, the first in the series was finished a few months later.
3 years and 8 DS Smith books later, Joffe Books wondered if I would be interested in working with them. As a self-published author, I agreed. However, we decided on a new series – the DC Harriet Taylor: Cornwall series.
The Beekeeper was published and soon hit the number one spot in Australia. The second in the series, The Perfect Murder did just as well.
I continued to self-publish the Smith series and Unworthy hit the shelves in 2018 with amazing results. I therefore made the decision to self-publish The Backpacker which is book 3 in the Detective Harriet Taylor series which was published in July 2018.
After The Backpacker I had an idea for a totally new start to a series – a collaboration between the Smith and Harriet thrillers and The Enigma was born. It brought together the broody, enigmatic Jason Smith and the more level-headed Harriet Taylor.
The Miranda trilogy is something totally different. A psychological thriller trilogy. It is a real departure from anything else I’ve written before.
The Detective Jason Smith series continues to grow with book 17 now available. In addition, I have a new series featuring an Irish detective who relocated to Guernsey. The first 5 books in the Detective Liam O’Reilly series are now available. There are also 3 stand alone novels.

My Review After the fallout of the last book and that was a doozy! (Won’t spoil it here) Smith’s life is upended and no longer secure, everything is in turmoil, both home life and work life, and worse still he’s forced to have time off. Diving into his past an old friend is missing, and with his time off, he heads to uncover what has happened. As you know it’s a Stewart Giles books there are twists, turns and plots galore. Get yourself comfy as you won’t be moving for a while, super addictive page turner.
