It’s been a busy week, of visiting our favourite place in Glastonbury town. Much needed for the Summer Solstice. A place to let loose and drum down the up the sun, and kick off the summer season with love, laughter and an amazing community.
But it also kicked off a week of solid pain, as you can’t walk up the Tor without pain ( well I certainly can’t) I took naproxen as I knew it would be awful pain wise. On top of Tramadol and Paracetamol. And it did help a fair bit. But I can’t take it often as it makes my heart race and causes insomnia. Otherwise I would take it more. I also wore the insoles, still wondering if this is correct move to make.

Had to stop so many times it was gruelling. But what a pilgrimage to make, the drums spur you on!

Afterwards I’m covered in bruises the next day, and I have swollen thighs and knees.

I’m super sore after the solstice but we still manage to potter around the town but not too much walking. Still very much on my walking stick and sitting down at every opportunity. But for these walks in wearing converse without my insoles, but my feet feel less sore for it, shame I then go up and down each step. Vicious circle which is better for you health wise.

We dipped in the healing springs as a girl can try to heal herself! My sore feet sure loved the cold water therapy they got.
Once I’ve recovered from our 3 days away, I need a good stretch and get some nice yoga flows going. The back is a complete wreck. Hips are pretty good so that’s nice. I might chase up a steroid for the flexor though. Wonder if I could get the back done with an injection too??
