Feeling so pleased and ‘normal’ with the hand, the only thing I really can’t do is play with my wedding ring on my finger. But I can live with that 😃

I have noticed if I don’t do the ‘O’ exercises the hand can get tight and achy, so I do try to make it my mission to do each finger and thumb ‘0’ 10 times.

The last finger is never a proper connection, but I’ve shown the surgeon and she was Impressed I could get to the third finger, so this is a bonus. Hand is definitely feeling a lot stronger than it did before the surgery, I’m definitely over the moon.

Hi! I’m almost at this stage now. Just this week I am managing to stretch over to my little finger (with forced effort)
I was wondering (now you are far ahead) if you now, have more flex and able to reach fully over to your pinky? I have upped my physio to strengthen my other fingers, this is causing pain in my fused joint and wrist. I wish it would all just settle.

I’m now 41 weeks post CMC joint fusion, and I can reach pinky and wedding ring. It can get frustrating and tiring waiting for it to come back, my surgeon did say not to worry too much as I have a fusion. But it did naturally come back.
