Parking up at Greenway Bank Country Park, we headed out to the Holy spiritual well called Gawton’s Well. Named after a servant of Knypersley Hall, Gawton, who became ill, was driven from the village and was cured by the waters here.

We walked around the Serpentine lake first, admiring the abundance of squirrels and birds. Crunching through some orange autumnal leaves, while lots of greenery is still around too.

We sat and ate our sandwiches, gave our thanks and intentions to the holy well. Collected some water, and bathed our crystal bracelets in the waters..

The Dolmem stone or Gawton’s stone where the Hermit (Gawton) lived, and was cured of his ills. Found Gawton’s cave too. We both climbed under, hoping to give ourselves the blessing of good health, but as ever my body likes to fail me all the time and this was no exception. Outer hip and groin pain were present the vast majority of the walk.

We find the waterfall, and touch the waters again, it is heavenly to hear the roar of cascading waters. We end our walk around the Knypersley reservoir. Here it’s busier with people, and packed with water birds. All in it’s been an incredible day, a beautiful walk and fresh new adventure.
