This month we’ve been enjoying The Traitors series, started late and watched Series 2 UK version to start with. Swiftly followed by Australia version Series 1, and then onto Series 2. Found on iplayer

Completely hooked and so unlike us, (we don’t do reality TV normally) it’s been a 9pm staple each night. And you can be sure we will dive into the USA version as well.

The Traitors’ is a tense psychological adventure competition where 22 strangers are moved into a castle in the Scottish Highlands to complete a series of challenges and missions together as a team. The catch, however, is that amongst the loyal contestants hoping to win a cash prize of up to £120,000, three traitors are secretly lurking, sabotaging their efforts and picking off contestants one by one. In the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust, the loyalists must root out the traitors amongst their ranks in order to win or risk losing everything. (All games are based on this format, but set in different locations, and prize funds)

Finders Keepers on Channel 5, Keen detectorist Martin (Morrissey) and his wheeler dealer soon to be son-in-law Ashley (Buckley) who, while on a boys bonding trip in the idyllic fields of rural Somerset, discover a hoard of buried Saxon treasure worth millions. Legally, they should declare it, but Ashley spots an opportunity to look after number one, and as pressures are building at home with his wife Anne (Ripley), straight arrow Martin can’t help but have his head turned.

Enjoyed seeing points of interest in Glastonbury, makes me wanna visit again as soon as possible. Crazy series and thoroughly unlikeable characters to shout at the TV, well done and really enjoyed.

Too Good To Be True on channel 5, Rachel, a single mother and cleaner, is offered a better job by a wealthy businessman. She accepts, but grows suspicious of his motives as she becomes more involved in his affairs.

Slow start, hope it gets better, so far the main characters are quite annoying, but only half way through, maybe it picks up.

Domino Day on iplayer is a powerful witch with a dark secret: she has to feed on humans to survive. She is desperate to understand who she is, but she doesn’t need to look far for answers, as a coven of witches is already tracking her every move.

It’s Witches, And Manchester, what’s not to love. Loved it all, the location, character building, storyline, really hope we get more.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians, on Disney+ Percy Jackson is on a dangerous quest. Outrunning monsters and outwitting gods, he must journey across America to return Zeus’ master bolt and stop an all-out war. After losing his mother, Percy is sheltered at Camp Half-Blood, a sanctuary for demigod children. He must prove himself and confront his origins once he discovers he too is a demigod, and will take off into the perils of pursuing enemies in search of the Underworld. With the help of his quest mates Annabeth and Grover, Percy’s journey will lead him closer to the answers he seeks: how to fit into a world where he feels out of place, if he’ll ever see his mother again, and if he can ever find out who he’s destined to be.

I adored the films from years ago, so I had high hopes for this. And I wasn’t let down at all, in fact it’s just as amazing as the films. I’m so excited to see how this goes in future series.

We don’t have iPlayer in Ireland, which is a real shame because I think that Hubby & I would really enjoy The Traitors! x
