Hipster

As any chronic illness/pain patient knows, Pacing is important, a way of saving energy to mitigate high pain flares.

But since my walk on 3rd February I’ve been in a huge Flare/ crash. Which has meant in order to pace, I’ve practically done nothing since. 😭

I have recently started using Visable on my phone, an app (only using Free app part and my phone, not a strap or payment plan) that takes your HR through the camera lens, and gives you an overlook of how it is, compared to symptoms and sleep you put in. So far it’s actually been rather good. Visible App Here

I’m terrible for boom and bust living. I’m trying to adjust it to make it less wild.

To help us Pace our activities we can use the 4 P’s;
The 4 P’s help you plan, stop you doing too much and make sure you have energy left at the end of the day.

Planning
Look at what you want and need to do each day. What time of day are you at your best?

Prioritising
What has to be done?
What do you want to do?

Pacing
Break activities into blocks with rest periods.

Permission
Give yourself permission to ask or help and to rest. You can say NO. You do not have to do it perfectly.

    I especially like the 4th P. That is useful feedback you are getting from your app šŸ™‚

    Absolutely, fourth one had been hard to learn to be honest. It’s a really good app especially as I use the free version
