After a 2 week break I’m back at Spine Gym, and I bet you are wondering what does Spine Gym have to do with hips, well it’s due to one leg being longer than another after my second hip replacement,  this has created a curve in the Spine, and I still struggle with Trendelenburg gait.

I’ve been given 6 sessions overall, but as I had to miss one for the heart monitor, I now have 4 left. The time I missed, I had done a lot of walking around, so I didn’t completely rest.

Got to my appointment 15mins late due to an accident on the motorway, complete standstill. Had to ring to warn them, and accept having only 15mins left of the session.

So today’s second session for me includes.

Started with 6kg Kettle Bell and doing walking Lunges instead of just walking.

1 minute, 30 second rest, then 1 minute opposite side
Jefferson curl 1kg Bar, 10kg weights. 1 minute as many as you can. 30 second rest. Then 1 minute as many as you again.
Bird dogs, I’m definitely getting stronger in these, nice to feel this. 1 minute as many as you can do, 30 second rest, then finish up 1 minute as many as you can.
Finished up with Crocodile twists, hold for 10 seconds the move to other side. Do as many as you can in 1 minute, 30 second rest, then end the 1 minute again doing as many as you can.

Gutted I missed out on 2 of the exercises, but I did feel stronger and had more stamina this time round. Looking forward to next week’s as they are different exercises. I missed out on week 2, and they are week 2s exercises.

walking lunges with kettlebells- impressive! I’m glad these exercises seem to be helping with strength and stamina 🙂
