Hipster

Hippie girl, going through recovery, and life. Follow my journey of Spiritual growth and health.

Apparently that’s what has been going on with my heart, the palpitations and tight chest, feeling the heartbeat in my feet, the rapid rate, and feeling utterly dreadful especially when I have caffeine.

Seriously the insomnia from 1 coffee, and increased heart rate is bad, but the jittery anxiety it gives you the following day is even worse. So i quit caffeine totally since March, but I still have some occurrences so its not a cure all, so I need to find out how to curb them,  and if they are damaging the heart at all.

So VEBs or PVCs are extra beats, between heart beats and can be caused by stress, medications, or hormonal. Lord knows I’m under stress as we need to move house, and I’m menopausal, so safe to say these have contributed to it.

This has made me more wary of my heart under exercise stress as it goes quickly up to 150 the second in have an ascent or heavy weight, and then feels like it’s pouding in the neck. So perhaps I could try to cruise more in 140 so it’s still aerobic zone of heart rate, but not enough to make me feel dizzy, lightheaded and sick feeling. Though I’ve noticed a quick salty snack helps with those symptoms especially the dizzy, lightheaded and sick feeling.

I have a referral for a cardiologist, but its only 1%burden on the heart. They are just checking to make sure heart is OK, due to my ehlers danlos as that can make things weaker.

Overall they think menopause,  but had a full blood panel redone in case it’s thyroid as I have spotted a cholesteatoma on my eyelid starting. Which leans towards inner ear issue or thyroid issue.

Now we wait for cardiologist referral around October time, and blood results hopefully this week sometime.

Really considering HRT at this point too, fed up of feeling ill with these hot flushes, weak, and full of anxiety.

I have pvcs too. My cardiologist is monitoring them for now and we’ll look into it if they get any worse. For now I don’t notice them much, they just show up on my EKG.

Jittery, lightheaded, and sick don’t sound like much fun. I’m glad staying away from caffeine helps.

I think a lot of people are having them lately, thankfully avoiding caffeine does help. Glad yours are being monitored too
