Packed with suspense, betrayal, and relentless pursuit, this novel explores courage and sacrifice against overwhelming odds.

About the Author
D.L. Cary is a Christian suspense and clean-thriller author who loves delivering pulse-pounding intrigue without the profanity or graphic violence.
His debut series, The Veil Chronicles, drops you into covert conspiracies and spiritual warfare while championing themes of redemption, justice, and hope. If you enjoy inspirational fiction, redemptive suspense, or spiritual thrillers you can share with the whole family, you’re in the right place.
He calls Alabama home, where he lives with my best friend (and wife), Heile. Before that, they lived in North Carolina. Finishing up their crew is a rambunctious group of dogs and cats, with Alex, an orange tabby, being the newest addition.
Every page he writes is fueled by faith and by readers who crave values-driven stories where hope endures, and justice prevails.
My Review I won’t lie I struggled a bit with this one, can’t quite place why, perhaps writing style or pacing, just something felt off. It could even just be me, as i am under stress and anxiety trying to find a home. However back to the book,we touch on very dark topics like rape, human trafficking, corruption, governments and such like, the cabal and cartels of the underworld. Which may or may not put you off, if you are just looking for a light read. We do have a mothers love willing to do anything to save the said child (a product of the rape) somehow this is well written and no swearing too. Which is impressive. Maria is lured into Hollywood underworld and there is abducted and plots her escape, we have grit absolutely courage and enduring love. It is a great read overall, and I will definitely read number 2 to see how it all continues.
