Just when all around me is pure chaos and anxiety, my oldest hip ( January 2019) is really starting to play up.
Whenever I try to walk, especially uphill the outer hip area is aching, at times it’s giving way. And I have to stop, rest and tentatively set off again. This is with wearing insoles and using my walking stick.
When I walk it feels like it’s going to pull outwards and give way. Its probably trochanteric bursitis yet again. Now it’s a case of, do I tell my consultant, or go back to scratch on physio exercises and try to settle it myself?

Hip bursitis typically feels like a dull, achy pain, or a sharp pain, on the outer side of the hip that may radiate to the buttocks or thigh, which worsens with activity, after lying on the affected side, or after sitting. It can also present as a burning sensation, and you may experience tenderness, warmth, or swelling at the affected hip. Other symptoms can include difficulty walking, a limp, or a clicking sensation in the joint.

I get such a white hot burning pain while walking, that I have to stop, rest and let it ease off. Started to take more meds and use the hot water bottle more. Its impossible to lie on this hip its so painful.
For now I just need to move house and once settled i can really focus on the hips again.
