Back to Physio but this time its a new one. As we moved GPs I’ve decided to test the waters with a new Physio team and see if they can offer fresh insights.
I’ve just recently had some xrays taken of my Right Knee. Though they said 4-7 weeks until my Gp will have the results!! 😲

I know its not Hips but I’m deeply concerned how this continued Knee issue is affecting my Hip Replacements. Is this Knee having issues due to the whole alignment problems and longer leg I have? Will having knee problems effect the hips and throw them back into pain and weakness?

I am hoping its a tendonitis and soft tissue and that physio and time will help. Rather than arthritis and its surgery needed. I think its quadriceps tendonitis but Physio thinks patellar tendonitis so I have some exercises for that to start with until xray results are back.

So some basic exercises to start me off with.

Starting with gentle Heel raises and followed by Calf stretch.

We are starting low and slow with 10 reps of each a day.

This is the hardest at the moment as bending my knee this much hurts as so swollen.

I remember these when I first had my hips replaced.

Ending with the most difficult one.
Now to hope these helps, and the xrays show confirmation its merely tendonitis and not arthritis.
