For the first time EVER!! I get to see what its like for our loved ones to watch us go through what we do with Hip dysplasia.

This last week my young 18mth old Granddaughter went through a Salter Osteotomy and is in a spica cast for 8 weeks minimum. I’m feeling a lot of guilt as its hereditary and genetically passed on.

I have never felt so useless and helpless seeing the pain and frustration she is going through. Though hopefully being so young she won’t remember this, and won’t become an adult like me going through these brutal surgeries to walk.

The nurses did the same cast ad hers on her teddy.

Its definitely harder to watch someone go through it, than I feel myself going through it. If I could swap places I would.

This weeks exercises have been hard but it is good to challenge.

So far only doing 1 set of each. And unweighted or unresisted until I get basic strength and stamina built up. The knee is still swollen and hinders some moves.
