‘I loved this… Its Gilmore Girls meets Halloween… I had such a fun time, I want to live in Halloween Town! Kept me entertained… I read it in one day.’ ★★★★★
Welcome to Solstice Springs … where it’s Halloween year-round, pink skeletons wear beachwear, and the town’s biggest debate is whether the ghosts are real or just good for business.
Wren Dunlop’s summer plan was simple:
- Hide from viral infamy ✓
- Drink rosé by the lake ✓
- Avoid all men forever ✓
Too bad her godmother (part-time witch and full-time Mayor) has other ideas.
Now Wren’s teaching dance for the Summerween spectacular, in a studio that might be haunted, and trying very hard not to notice the mysterious new guy in town, Dane Trafford.
Between bonfire wishes and midnight confessions, fairy lights and watermelon jack-o-lanterns, Wren and Dane might just discover that Solstice Springs’ real magic isn’t supernatural…
Tropes:
- Friends to lovers
- Forced proximity
- Halloween in summer
- Small-town setting

Joss Wood
About the author
Joss Wood writes romances packed with messy emotions, crackling chemistry, witty banter, and hard-won happily-ever-afters. Her books feature independent heroines, hot heroes, quirky small-towns, lovable chaos magnets, nosy neighbours, fast friendships and enough spice to steam up a window or two.
She’s been telling stories for as long as she can remember and has written more than eighty books for various publishers. She aims to feature characters who are flawed, funny, emotionally exposed, and deeply human.
When she’s not writing, she’s usually fuelled by too much coffee, avoiding exercise with impressive dedication, plotting her next adventure, checking in on her grown children, laughing with her husband, or being expertly manipulated by two cats and one enormous, spectacularly ill-behaved dog.
My Review Not only do I wish I actually live in Solstice Springs, but I also found out this is book one of 4. 2 will be released next year. But I can and will buy book 2 ASAP. Its a cute cosy budding relationship book, bit spicy and definitely quirky. During this heatwave in the UK this has kept me enthralled and constantly page turning. There is clichés but seriously who cares, its a simple easy read and perfect for the run up to Halloween, the best time of year.
