Hipster

Its finally been Mri time and another new hospital to me. This time its Derby.

While its primarily an appointment for my knee, it has a knock on effect of my hip (the oldest one done in 2019) and it pulls onto the left hip done in 2021.

I think its a type of bursitis but I dont know. Hopefully its not arthritis, although back in February with an xray they said it wasn’t.

We find the hospital and parking pretty easily which is nice. The mri scanner is in a mobile truck instead of main hospital.

I was given the ok to wear my clothes as I had no metal on my clothes. Took all jewellery off. And told them about my metal thumbs and hips. I was given ear buds, then big over head headphones with radio on. But we all know no matter what, nothing covers that mri noise!!

As it was the knee they were focusing on, I had an additional piece around the knee like the photo above. Never had anything like that before. It took around 30mins for the scans and then free to go. Results in 4 to 6 weeks. No clue why it takes that long.

I always get achy from mri’s so it was home straight away to rest up.
